Temperature sensitivity refers to the viscosity and plasticity of petroleum asphalt with temperature rise and fall, also known as temperature stability. Temperature sensitivity is also an important index of asphalt property.
Petroleum asphalt content in asphalt is large, to a certain extent, can reduce the temperature sensitivity (i.e., improve the temperature stability), the wax content in asphalt is large, will increase the temperature sensitivity. It is required to choose asphalt material with low temperature sensitivity, so it is often used in engineering to reduce its temperature sensitivity by adding talcum powder, limestone powder or other mineral filler.
